I'm in Darsham for the first time, a centre in the old building at Darsham station. I got the train up last night from Liverpool street.
We had an amazing talk from Annebella about the history of the folk covering Ernerst Thompson Seaton and his group Woodcraft Indians, Badin Powell and the Scouts, Roger Hargreaves and the Kibbo Kift, and Leslie Paul and the Woodcraft Folk. She also brought a wonderful collection of books from the history of these movements:
Darsham seems like a great centre, on the list now for a Venturer trip.
Time for breakfast and then on to talks on recording oral histories.
