Halloween and Nicholas & Steele

This weekend I put together a Christmas set, getting ready for future cakingagent posts and to show off some of the amazing items from Nicholas & Steele, a vintage store just round the corner.

A more current seasonal set up was for Libby's halloween themed blog post which involved a delightful carved pumpkin and lot of candles:

A nice classic Jack

That's a delicious pumpkin pie

I like getting colour balance right

Those are chocolate frogs from Montezuma

New Year, New Jobs

The jobs you get offered when you set up as a photographer:

Weddings
Private Investigator (surveilance)
Photos of Boilers

Oh the glamour! Still it means I'll have some money to put towards a real project of my own, and that my friends is excellent news.

Insert Blog Title Here

I forgot you needed a name before setting one of these things up so, on the spur of the moment I came up with this one out of a quickly jotted list:

Set Shadows to Multiply (A genuine top tip)
Hydrogen Burns with a Squeaky Pop! (too abstract)
What Jonny is Doing?
What is Jonny doing?
What are you doing?
Photos, among other things (Winner! with help from the Saurus)
What I've got to offer (From Tomorrow Morning eels)
Screaming Meat (From Woodrue in SwampThing)
Because you are Hurting the Green (I got a little distracted by SwampThing)
Some awful photography pun
The Negative
Where's Tessa? (After "Where's Raed?" the Baghdad Blog)
Pictures, among other things
Insert Blog name here
All this will fade (You can take the hippy away from Whitby Goth Weekend but you cant... )
Photographs, Stencils and Books
Pictures, Music and Books
Colours, Noises and Text
Jonny Helm's Photography (but I want to write about books and news)
Seen and Heard (sounds too much like a radio4 programme)
Scene and Herd (Awesome title for an art film set in Devon)
Jonnyzblog (after Filmzblog which is well good)
One day I will play the Trombone (again true but too abstract)
Is a record art without intent? (Discuss...)

In other news:
I got lots of books for Christmas which is well exciting (I love books) so I've got lots to write about already.
I'm up late because I've been designing an booklet and cover for a friends Album which is going really well and I'm not totally ready to sleep but I think it's about time I gave snoozing a go.

G'night all, J
